Fire breaks out in Daulatpur-Sabarmati express train, none injured

A fire broke out in the coach of a moving train in Rajasthan's capital, Jaipur, causing chaos. Passengers got worried on Friday morning when they noticed smoke coming from the train coach at the CBI gate between Khatipura and Jagatpura in Jaipur.

The AC coach on the Sabarmati-Daulatpur Chowk train caught fire. The passengers saved their lives by stopping the train immediately. Railway staff arrived at the spot soon after receiving the information.

Railway officials separated the carriage from the train. After approximately an hour, the coach was changed and the train was sent back.

As per North Western Railway's CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran, smoke was noticed coming out of a carriage on the Sabarmati Daulatpur Chowk train at the CBI gate this morning. During this time, the passengers stopped the train. As soon as the information was received, railway personnel arrived on the scene and detached the coach that was on fire from the train. Railway officials detached the coach from the train, and after roughly an hour, the coach was replaced and the train was dispatched. The fire incident resulted in no casualties. The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed. The situation is under investigation.
